DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Valhalla’s Gate’s new Season of Dungeons & Dragons Open Play!\NDungeons & Dragons may not be the original role-playing game (RPG), but it is the one that made RPGs as popular as they are today. If you have never played before and want to learn, or just want to get a relaxed session in, then D&D Open Play is for you! We will be playing adventures from the Adventurers League line. Your Dungeon Master (DM) for this Season will be Bill Haworth, and we will be playing the Tyranny of Dragons Season. First a little about our DM - Bill has been playing D&D and various other RPGs since the mid-1980s and has been DM’ing 5th Edition D&D since 2018. His philosophy is that if everyone at the table is having fun, then you are doing it right. Players will need: The Player's Handbook or the free Basic Rules (found here https://dnd.wizards.com/what-is-dnd/basic-rules), a character (following rules of creation), and a logsheet to track your advenure (found here https://media.wizards.com/2020/dnd/downloads/S10_AL_Logsheet.pdf). You may also want to bring your own set of dice, a pencil with an eraser, and a miniature of your character, and a notebook or loose leaf paper. If you don't have character, Bill has several pre-generated characters ready to go!Adventure Logsheet: This document serves as as a record of what your PC has done during this Season of OPen Play, and as such acts as an extension of your character sheet. Rules for character creation, what needs to be recorded on the logsheet, and what you can do outside of session play will be available in the Open Play Document provided to all players who attend the sessions.Entry is $15 per session.
